King of Pop...wow.

Wow. Where did this heat come from? damn. It's sooo hot. I know I shouldn't complain, but you're never happy...right?

Michael Jackson is dead. I know this is sort of old news already but...I just can't wrap my head around it. The King of Pop no longer with us? I know I know...the whole plastic surgery, pedofile accusions and all the other strange rumors and things that went on with him were...well strange. But what about the music? The thing that is actually essential. At least to me.

When I was about...9? Michael Jackson was my Idol. I adored his music and I though his dance moves were so cool! Back then I didn't care or understand anything but that I thought the music sounded good. And that is what you should care about...right? So RIP Michael Jackson. A true legend. I for one will always remember his music. Legend...wait for it...dary.

Midnight Snack.

Yes my dear stalkers I am sitting here in the middle of the night. Blogging. Sad. I'm tired...and yet...I'm not...I blame the SUGAR filled beverage next to me...

This weekend it was midsummer. And I decided not to ditch just one of my friends so I sort of ditched them all for our cabin. Yeah...I couldn't just choose between my friends so I took the third way out and went with neither. Well it was a well spent weekend filled with too much food, fires, alcohol and dogs. Interesting...

I'm seriously fearing my own and my relatives sanities so I have decied not to go into details of the weekend. I do not want any men in black suits flashing their badges or men clad in white coming to take me away (HaHAHaHA) showing up at my doorstep. I simply do not have time for that.

Well anways...here's some pictures from said weekend though...and yeah my Croatia story will continue when I have time and computer access. Sorry about that...Laughs nervously...

First Day at Work.

I never thought I'd say this...but damn it was fun to be back at work! It truly was...because I realized that if I didn't have to go to work...I wouldn't have done anything of importance if I hadn't gone to work...I realized. So...yeah. Nothing much but that...

Croatia. Day 2. Monday 1.6.

At Monday morning in Casa Bubalo I was awakened by the fact that the others besides Sandra and me had gone shopping for food. When breakfast was over we decided to check out Hvar-City. The old builidings, churches and other views that I found fantastic. It should be mentioned that yours truly's first buy in Hvar was an Umbrella, not very promising.

We decided that even if the weather was cold we had to pay a visit to the beach. So we headed off towards the 100 m away beach...as it turns out it was perhaps 100m(definitly more)...downhill...

The "Road" To The Beach.

The so-called road, I doubt that you can actually call it that, was rocky, steep and just plain difficult. The fact that it had rained and the rocks were slippery, didn't exactly help. Well, when we finally managed to get down to the beach it was windy and rtaher chilly, but we found a cute little resturant where we took a drink while Ida wanted to test the (COLD) waters and swim. The resturant personal proclaimed her "crazy". We had expected it to rain abit more and when the rain actually started...it didn't want to stop...

The Calm Before The Storm (Hvar Beach)

We were sitting there drinking Mai Thai's (Dark Rum,Light Rum...and more. I was most excited about the Rum part, Captn Jack!) when suddenly...CRASH.BOOM. The Sky opened up and rain literally poured down and thunder was heard and lightning bolts flew over the sky. We decided to eat there that night and I had this absolutley fantastic Pasta Frutti Di Mare. Absolutley great. Well as we ate we expected the rain to stop...it didn't...it only got worse.

So there we sat, miserably thinking that we would have to walk up that stupid hill, in the pouring rain with the thunder in our ears and the lightning bolts our only sources of light. We even considered putting plastic-bags over our heads and cutting holes in the for the eyes...

When we decided to pay and start to walk that dreaded walk that I mentally considered my doom. The lady of the resturant started to count what we had to pay and a gent said: "Wait 5 minutes, okay?". We nodded and wondered how on earth it could take 5 minutes to figure out what we owed them. As it turns out that wasn't why we had to wait, oh no, the Gent wanted to DRIVE US HOME. How freaking nice is that? These people directly ended up on my "People I like List". Then came the problem of...what the fudge is our adress? But apparently "Apartmant Bubalo" was enough. So we got a ride home and didn't have to drown or get hit by lightning.

Next Plane To Spilt, Please?

Greetings Dear Munchkins.

I am back in the country (have been since Sunday, but haven't had the time/want to blog). My trip to Croatia was most pleasant. I loved it. And I do want to tell you about it but since a 2 week long vacation can't by any means be squeezed into one post I have decided to do a day-by-day post from the small diary I wrote during the trip. Two week starting from today.

I really miss the weather...going from 30+ to 12+ isn't very pleasant...

Nothing of importance happened today so I will just start with that.

My Trip To Croatia 2009.

Day One. Sunday 31.5.

At approxly 03:15 my trip southern of Denmark started. Vince Neil was screaming in my ears about Dr.Feelgood as the taxi my dad was driving took off towards Helsinki. And in my mind I asked myself why I hadn't taken in more Caffiene that morning...

Thats Me at the airport...very tired...

My first time ever on an airplane went well...it felt somewhat like a Carnival Ride of some sorts...

My first look on the country I would stay the next two weeks in were humoungous mountains and clear sparkly water.

At the airport a taxi-driver took us to Split.

He was very talkatvie though his english wasn't the best.

As soon as we entered Split I started to wonder if the only words he truly knew were was "Ticket" and "Garderobe" since the poor man waved towards both said places numerous of times.

And saying the word over...and over...and over again. I think he might have thought we were stupid because when we left the cab and he drove by he shouted mentioned words from the open window and pointing. It was rather funny and became the first of many inside jokes.

The boat to Hvar that we were supposed to take (and the ticket Mr Taxi Driver went on about) was going in a few hours so we spent a couple of hours in Split exploring.

We found a huge statue of a man (Look to the left) with a Golden Toe...apparently it was supposed to give Good Luck if you rubbed it. I refrained from rubbing the gigantic golden toe...who knew where it had been?

Split is filled with small roads and old church.like buildings and simply beautiful, at least the old parts where we were. The newer parts are very much like any other big city...

The ferry Adriana took us the the island Hvar and the city Hvar (confused yet? I was...). Where we were met by enthusiastic Apartmant Owners all wanted us to stay at their place.

But we went with the nice man we now know as Vlade Bubalo (Oh yeah, I had a few laughs about the name). His apartmant was really ice and had a great view.

And was 100m from the beach (this later showed not to be the exact truth). On the way to his apartmant though he took it upon himself to show us the important things in Hvar, most important was a local Football Game mere meters from the apartmant.

He found this very important and pointed it out to us 8 times...atleast. But all in all Bubalo was a nice man who proclaimed that if we ever needed him we could "Call him always".

When we had established ourselves we went down to Hvar City and to the resturant Giuseppes. And anyone going to Hvar, Croatia should definitly eat their Jumbo Pizza. Absolutley fantastic! The waitor, who I named Mario in my head, no ide what his real name was...anyhow was really nice and weell like I said...the food was excellent. Even after his strange suggestion of putting cream on the pizza (Ew). And that was the first day, stay tuned for Day 2.

Croatia

Well hello...

Yours truly is now i sunny Bol Croatia...getting more red than tanned...eeeh...freakig great.

I will tell you all about it later I promise, but since my computer time is limited on how may kunas I have in my wallet I wont repeat the whole damn trip right here and now xD

Graduation, Stress and Freaking Out.

So now I’ve graduated. Finally. It all went well.
We laughed, cried a little and said our goodbyes to that school that has been like a second home to us for three years.
Sad but oh-so true.
And to make things even stranger yours truly was on the radio on Friday morning…Talking about graduation and other stuff with a guy that graduated as well.

And today…or tomorrow…well at 03.30 we leave Finland for Croatia. Yeah…your very pale Vamp is going to go and get tanned. Yikes. And fly for the first time…eeh…lets hope for the best then eh?
I should actually be packing now…but instead I ended up here… But I am going to quote Tim Gunn and say..."Make it work". And that's what I'm gonna do.
Oh well…I guess that's that, next time you hear from me I’ll be in another country.
