Walking is Dangerous.

So I just got home from a walk. It was nice, peaceful. It involved choppy terrain. It went something like this;

*Stubs Toe* Me(mutters): Bugger.
*Trips* Me: Damn.
Me: Crap.
Me: Ow.
Mom: What are you muttering about?
Me: Nothing...Stupid, bloody, buggering terrain.
*Walks for a while without injuring feet* Me: Hey, this is going pretty...Ow.
Me: Son of a...WHOA!

Yes. That was me, tripping. But I managed to save myself from falling headfirst into the mud. Then the terrain evened out (thank muffins). But the point in this was. Walking is fun. When the terain is even. Not that it helps me anything because I fall over air.

Thank you and Peace Out.

Alex&Emma, as seen by a Dork.

I watched Alex and Emma today. I've seen it before and I had honestly forgotten how...well lame it is. I kind of like some parts of it and the fact that it's about a writer but other then that. Nothing.

Alex&Emma 2003
Emma: What's your book about?
Alex:It's the story of a man who's frightened of commitment yet so desperately in love with a woman he's afraid it might kill him. It's a comedy.

Director: Rob Reiner, really? Dude, he's made awesomeness like Stand By Me and When Harry Met Sally, what happened?

Starring: Kate Hudson, Luke Wilson

Plot: Alex ows a couple of lone sharks alot of money. And the only way to pay his devt is to finish his new book, in 30 days. The bad thing is he has writersblock and if he doesn't get the money in time, he'll end up dead.
So Alex hires Emma, a stenographer, to whom he dictates his whole story revolving around lovetriangles and money. But Emma has her opinions about, well everything. Soon real life starts to imitate fiction and they begin a strange relationship.

Opinion: Well. It's cute. But predictable and not really as funny as it could have been. Like I said the only thing that really appealed to me was the facts that it was about a writer.
And I was sorely dissapointed because Rob Reiner ususally creates brilliance, this was sadly not that. Although I do like some of the lines and parts in the story. Like when Alex tells Emma that sometimes the characters runs away with the story. And the writer him/herself doesn't really know how it happened. Because that's true.
Either way, the movie is cute, watchable but not brilliant by any means.
Meh, I give it 2&½ Stars.

Peace Out.

Thoughts on Hair and Labels.

I just happened to stumble over an article about Agyness Deyn.
Apparently she's cut all her hair off. The article said; "She did a Britney". That disturbed me. Because I like Agyness, her style is brilliant and she is gorgeous. Miss Spears on the other hand...well let's just not get into that.
Why does everything have to be labeled like that? Because Agyness shaved her hair off, for the first time, long before Britney got slightly mad and did it. So shouldn't Britney be the one who did an "Agyness" then?
Either way, Agyness looks brilliant, as usual.

Her new haircut. I do like her old style better though even if she actually pulls this one off.

I should cut my hair again too I think. But don't worry I won't pull an "Agyness" and shave it all off. I might go for some of her other hairstyles thouhg, only...not blonde.

Peace Out.

Mixtape of my Mind.

Do you remember Mixtapes?

Even if CD's became more and more frequent when I was younger I still remember the Mix Tapes. I remember recording Michael Jackson songs from the radio. Sitting around, sometimes for hours, waiting for that one song to play and then record it onto a tape.
I still remember the first one I got. I was about 8 when I spent a day at my Aunts house, she had a cd which I took a liking to. The next time we came to visit I got it, a tape she had made from that very CD. I don't remember what CD it was, I don't even remember what songs that were one it because that tape is long gone now. But I do remember the joy I experienced when I listened to it for the first time.

I kind of miss those tapes. Which songs would enter my very own Mixtape today? Well that changes from one day to another but right now, on this Sunday my (10 song) Mixtape would probably look/sound something like this:

  1. Living in a Box- Living in a Box
This song has been stuck in my head for two days now. It's a very "catchy" 80's tune that just, sticks. And it never fails to make me want to jump up and down and sing along. This eponymous song was probably their biggest hit and to me the best one too. Not that it's the best song ever made but it's totally listenable and sticks in your head for hours, trust me.
  2. Paradise City- Guns N' Roses
Axl Rose may be one of the most pompous assholes to ever walk this planet. But there's no denying Guns N' Roses make good music. I've always had a soft spot for this band and this may not be my favorite song with them but it is pretty brilliant. And come on they've got Slash, how can it not be awesome?
  3. Dear Jack- Jack's Mannequin
This band is relatively new to me. I haven't listened to them for long but from the first notes they had me. Brilliant music and lyrics. This is my favorite song by them, right now. Even if their song "The Mixed Tape" was the inspiration for this post.
  4. Hair of the Dog- Nazareth
Nazareth is not one of my favorite metal bands and "Love Hurts" is by far their most famous song and a brilliant ballad. But there's just something about this one, if only the fact that it's on the Lords of Dogtown soundtrack and I relate it to that particular movie.
  5. Assasin- John Mayer
I can not gush enough about the brilliance of this man. From the minute I first saw/heard "Bigger than My Body" on VH1 he had me permanently starstruck. Assasin is on his new album Battle Studies and it isn't my absolute favorite but I've been listening to it all week. The lyrics are just so...in lack of better words; captivating.
  6. Waiting on a Star to Fall- Boy Meets Girl
Bloody Synthpop. Why is it that this particular genre of music is so...so...account stirring? It's not even that good really but somehow it makes me smile. This song is just one of those songs that will always make me smile no matter how down I might be.
  7. A View to a Kill- Duran Duran
Duran Duran. 80's. Weird outfits. Bad Hairdos. What's not to like? Duran Duran has to be my favorite band from the 80's not from the Glam/Hair-Metal/Rock genre. Song after song they manage to make me giggle, dance and sing along. This particular one for those who doesn't know is a Bond song, to the movie with the same name.
  8. Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm- Crash Test Dummies
So the song name confused me quite a bit when I saw it for the first time. It may have made severeal "Bad Songs" lists but I like it. And his voice, by God. It's practically orgasmic. I'm serious, it should be illeagal to have a voice that low paired with those impossibly dark eyes. Mmmm...
  9. Here I go Again- Whitesnake
I remember listening to this song in my dad's car ages ago. It was one of the songs that got me into Rock in the first place. It's just something about the lyrics, the music and David Coverdale's voice. This will always be one of my favorite songs and just because I remember listening to it in my dad's car I always think of him when I hear it, well that and the video with the cars...
  10. Devil Inside- INXS
The first time I heard and INXS song was when I watched the Lost Boys for the first time. "Good Times" , which featured Jimmy Barnes is on the sountrack and that's how I found INXS. Front man Michael Hutchence may have left us (may he R.I.P.) but the band lives on with new front figures. There's not one song by this band that I dislike and "Devil Inside" is one of my favorites, just listen to the lyrics and the sound. Pure, absolute brilliance. The video though, is...well, see for yourselves.
So, what would your Mixtape look like?

Peace Out.

Introducing...

...The Wallflower Diaries.

According to the Urban Dictionary a Wallflower is; a type of loner. seemingly shy folks who no one really knows. often some of the most interesting people if one actually talks to them.

That's true to a certain degree I think. And I'm not even sure why I picked that name but it just fit somehow. Because I am and always have been sort of a Dork and kind of a wallflower. So this new name and image suits better than the old one I think. The link has not changed, the contest probably wont either. But the whole feel of it has, atleast to me.

It's still unders construction though...new headers and whatnot.

Peace Out!

And now a really nice song by Jack's Mannequin; Dear Jack.

The Wind of Change.

"Follow the Moskva
Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change
An August summer night
Soldiers passing by
Listening to the wind of change "
-Scorpions-
So I've been feeling the wind of change as of late. What does that mean, you may ask? Well this blog is well mine. But the name..."What's in a name? That which we call a rose. By any other name would smell as sweet."-Juliet said that in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
And the name of this Blog doesn't feel...right anymore. Sure I'll always be greatly intrigued by Vampires and Rockstars but it doesn't fit anymore.
So I've decided to change it. Yeah, it's in the progress right now. It was just something that hit me when I went through the blog earlier today. So this is a new year, and a new look with a new name. I will not tell you what the new name will be just yet, it's a Surprise! But  do not fret, it'll be up soon enough.

And now; the music video to the slightly corny song Wind of Change by Scorpions.

Peace Out.

Feeling like a Gangster half the time and like a Doctor the other half is Awesome.

I bought a new coat on Monday and it reminds me of the coats the Saints wear in Boondock Saints. (There's a sequel too and it's awesome too). Brilliant movie, I've watched it twice already. Connor and Murphy are simply brilliant. Anyway the coat makes me feel like a gangster when I wear it. Proably because I relate it to the saints. It's awesome.

That's the Saints, obviously x). You can't really see the coats but I just had to put a picture of their awesomeness up here.

We got new coats for work too and that one makes me feel like a Doctor. So you may call me Dr. Lotta. *giggles*.
So inbetween feeling like a Doctor at work and a Gangster at my free-time what has been going on? Not much actually. The weather is brilliant right now, I feel spring coming! Yaaay. I've also begun re-vamping my Marauder fic at FF.net. The first chapters are tragic so I'm fixing them, finally.

Peace Out.
